Back in 1978, like the Uruguayan Newspaper “El Diario”, "La Gazzetta dello Sport" from Italy made also an alternative way to collect stickers (images) for the World Cup ’78 in Argentina.

All the stickers came with the newspaper.

The “newspaper collection”

Back in 1978, the Uruguayan Newspaper “El Diario” made an alternative way to collect stickers (images) for the World Cup ’78 in Argentina.

The idea was to buy the newspaper, and take from the pages all images that contained soccer players, flags with player descriptions and publicity, with a total of 512 images. Different way to collect, but an interesting idea!
